"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
Hope is what we choose to see in the world.
Hope is how we perceive reality and how we change it for the better.
Hope becomes our drive every morning and night as we Hope for what is to come.
Hope defines us, if we let it.
Hope cries as we cry because it knows it can succeed.
Hope draws the picture of light in light and light in dark when we refuse to notice either.
Hope binds the hearts of those lost to ones found because of the ultimate Hope.
Hope finds us when we hide, thinking we will never be found, and that no one will try.
Hope spears doom before doom spears us.
Hope falls in love with the idea of complete conquer.
Hope smiles because it happened and because it happened to you.
Hope beats hopeless one thousand to none, every time, all the time.
Hope reminds us to rely on the everlasting and what He brings tomorrow, today, and everyday.
Hope runs to those who need it and sprints to those who don't.
Hope will rise above the above and meet you beneath your below.
Hope wins.
Can I get an Amen

It's the Little Things
What makes you happy.
It takes a lot to realize these simple, God-given gifts when you're busy being unhappy.
Being unhappy takes work, energy, investment. It's exhausting, really.
But when you experience things that make you happy, there begins the slow trickle
of light back into your life and a glow of hope into your heart.
I had new talk with an old friend yesterday - this makes me happy
I woke up to a cold morning.
I drove three hours in the pouring rain.
I ran into encouragement on the South Oval - this makes me happy
I saw my brother whose boldness is inspiring.
I felt His comfort in this week of giants.
I called my mom and she answered - this makes me happy
I'm wearing a scarf and hat.
I laughed at my own embarrassment.
I woke up and decided to walk in prayer today.
In only takes a little, but it will add to mean a lot.

A Day in the Life
As a college student, my day starts early and ends late - too late. Later than necessary, but there's always something to do right? Like my first post on this shiny new blog (at 1 a.m.).
Eight a.m. is the average wake-time (after hitting snooze for thirty minutes), and I rise and I read and I get ready for the day. I have three classes each day and am done with school no later than 2:45 p.m.; not to bad, I have an afternoon, and for the most part, try to take full advantage. Work follows soon after the finishing of class, and fortunately for me work is play. Cranking snow cones and cutting flowers every other day leaves me with no complaints; I'm paid to help others be happy, and this makes me happy. The lifetime supply of free snow cones at Eskimo Sno and leftover flowers from Birdie at the end of the day ain't bad either.
As for the night, I hit the books! or do I. This would be the typical thought process. But it's a nice night Hunter - But people are playing Hunter - But your roommate wants to break into the football stadium and praise the Lord with the sunset Hunter. Naturally, I listen to my inner kindred spirit and crack open those crusted books around midnight. Goodnight sleep - Good morning memories.
That is what a day is though, isn't it? A day is a memory. A date cannot be limited to a box on the wall calendar. The number is temporary, but significant. The time is limited, but forever.
Waste some sleep, keep the daylight.
Good Morning
